Since we often receive a lot of feedbacks from players who don't know how the parry work in Solo Knight, so we decided to give you a brief overview of the parry mechanics in this guide.
There are not many opportunities to use parry in the game, in most cases you can only trigger parry by equipping parry armor. As the only parry-related equipment in the game, the skill of the parry armor explains how parry mechanic works in the game - get attacked, trigger a parry, get a defense buff.
Parry is different from block, it does not "block" enemy attacks, in fact, the moment you trigger a parry you're still taking damage from attacker, and you only get a defense buff when the parry is triggered, which does not mean you can just ignore the enemy's attacks, if the damage is high enough, you still need to take action to keep yourself safe.
You can use runes and perks to improve the effect of parry, such as Buff Effect rune and Parry Effect perk to further improve the defense buff you get from a parry. You can also use the buff duration rune to extend the duration of your defense buff.
After triggering a parry, you'll see 2 icons(physical and magic defense buff) appear above your character.
